  • How do I book an appointment?
    Under Services, each service allows for booking. Please visit the Services page.
  • Can I use The Prevention Specialist's if I am out of the state or the territory?
    Unfortunaely, The Prevention Specialist is avaialble only in the Virgin Islands, however, nutrition counseling will be available over the phone or remotely, via Zoom, inthe future.
  • What should I expect during the initial visit?
    During your first consultation with Dr. Letitia Henry, you can expect her to take a complete medical history, assess your nutrition and lifestyle habits, explore your goals, and work with you to develop strategies to help you reach your desired health outcomes.
  • Does my private insurance cover nutrition visits?
    Most private insurance companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Health Care cover nutrition services. However, some plans do not. Check with your insurance provider to determine if they cover Medical Nutrition Therapy (CPT code 97802 or 97803).
  • Does Medicare cover nutrition visits?
    Yes, Medicare covers 100% for Medical Nutrition Therapy services, but only if you have been diagnosed with diabetes, non-dialysis kidney disease, or are 36-months post kidney transplant. If you do not have any of these medical conditions, then payment for services is expected at the time of your appointment. Preferred payment methods: cash, checks, and credit cards.
