During your first consultation with Dr. Letitia Henry, you can expect her to take a complete medical history, assess your nutrition and lifestyle habits, explore your goals, and work with you to develop strategies to help you reach your desired health outcomes.

Does my private insurance cover nutrition visits?

Accepted Answer

Most private insurance companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Health Care cover nutrition services. However, some plans do not. Check with your insurance provider to determine if they cover Medical Nutrition Therapy (CPT code 97802 or 97803).

Does Medicare cover nutrition visits?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Medicare covers 100% for Medical Nutrition Therapy services, but only if you have been diagnosed with diabetes, non-dialysis kidney disease, or are 36-months post kidney transplant. If you do not have any of these medical conditions, then payment for services is expected at the time of your appointment.
