Services
Dr. Henry is proud to provide nutrition and preventive care counseling services to create healthy solutions that work for your lifestyle. Dr. Henry understands that one-size-fits-all diet and exercise plans do not work when it comes to making lasting behavior changes. She takes the time to get to know you personally, then, in collaboration with you, creates a wellness plan that will work for you long-term. Dr. Henry will provide advice that focuses on culturally appropriate meal content and food selection, exercise recommendations, stress management techniques, and other lifestyle behaviors that affect your health.

The Prevention Specialists, LLC accepts most health insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Health Care, and Medicaid of the Virgin Islands (MAP). Depending on your plan, they may or may not offer Medical Nutrition Therapy or Preventive Care Counseling coverage. Carefully investigate the type of coverage you have. The Prevention Specialists, LLC also accepts Medicare. However, Medicare only covers Medical Nutrition Therapy services if you have been diagnosed with diabetes, non-dialysis kidney disease, or are 36 months post kidney transplant.
If nutrition services are covered on your plan, most insurance companies do not require a co-payment. That means your insurance company will pay 100% of the counseling visit.
If your insurance does not cover Medical Nutrition Therapy services or you are paying out-of-pocket, payment is expected at the time of your appointment. Payment options include credit cards, checks, and cash.
